A Culinary Maestro with a Global Palette

Meet Mr. Huang Yen Kun

The Culinary Maestro behind Ki Su Shoujin Omakase. Born into a family of restaurateurs in Taiwan, Yen Kun's journey in the culinary world began in Singapore in 1990. His global palate evolved during his time in Melbourne, Australia, where he immersed himself in diverse cuisines.

 

Despite a brief foray into the finance sector, Yen Kun's heart led him back to the food scene. In 2003, he founded Tao's Restaurant and expanded his culinary empire in 2005 with the inception of Juju Japanese Hotpot. The following year, he expanded his culinary footprint internationally by setting up Tao's Restaurant in Melbourne. In 2007, demonstrating his versatility and ambition, Yen Kun entered the fine dining scene by establishing DOZO, a Japanese-European-inspired culinary masterpiece.

 

Inspired by his wife's vegetarian experience, Joie Restaurant was born in 2014 after global culinary exploration and was later acquired by a food group. Today, as the Owner and Chef of Ki Su Shoujin Omakase, he continues to innovate and share his love for global gastronomy, showcasing his commitment to culinary excellence.
